SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND THEIR SPONSORS The California Endowment Cross Cultural Intern Training Program Through a generous Grant from The California Endowment, Coastal Family Therapy Services (“Coastal”) is currently providing monthly cross cultural training for its interns. Coastal is able to professionally videotape these training sessions for future training. Coastal therapists are providing services to twelve diverse cultural populations in order for the therapists to be culturally equipped to counsel diverse populations in the Coastal service area community. This Grant also enables Coastal’s multi-lingual staff to provide hundreds of hours of counseling to diverse populations who would not otherwise be able to access mental health services. Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation Through a generous Grant from the Sisters of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation, Coastal is able to provide a series of psycho educational workshops to Spanish speaking day laborers in Laguna Beach. California Children and Families Commission Through a generous Grant from the California Children and Families Commission, Coastal is able to provide a child development series “The First Five Years” for many of its collaborating agencies. This series provides education for parents of children 0-5 years of age. The program is available in a variety of languages. City of Laguna Beach The City of Laguna Beach helps make possible the Coastal Community Center programs in the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach. These programs are both mental health and educational programs. Coastal is able to provide outreach programs in other locations in Laguna Beach. Coastal wishes to thank its other anonymous
sponsors, including private foundations, who help Coastal provide outreach
mental health services to diverse at risk populations throughout Orange
County and help with funding for the Coastal Community Center. New programs at the Boys & Girls Club
